Down on his luck, Danny decides to break into a fancy house, and rob the place. As he’s totally inexperienced, it never occurred to him to check and see if anyone was actually home. Not only does he break into Emma’s house, she secretly watches him do it, at least for a few minutes. Finally confronting the amateur thief, he threatens her with a gun, which she immediately recognizes as a toy water pistol.
