Aeris was a youth-recruit in the skill and find section of the far Moon 's one and only geographic expedition floor. After the first contact occured with the alien fusion, her coinage began to spread throughout their solar system with the technology and guidance of their new allies. The other alien race were large, gooey, tentacled beings with no discernable typeface. They would put across telepathically, but still used a unusual `` spoken communication '' or `` way of thought process '' that was hard for Aeris'kind to sympathise. The Greens would usually translate and mediate communication. Aeris was still uncomfortable around them. They would get into her nous to read her nigh personal thoughts and desires. There was no way to discontinue it or to protest. At the moon-base, her thinker was always being penetrated, even during sleep.

An announcement was made that youth-recruits from S & D could recieve double pay, a very generous amount of currency, if they were to offer for forcible study in the Foreign Biology Studies labs.
