Aeris was a youth-recruit in the skill and breakthrough division of the far lunation 's one and only exploration base. Only 50 people lived at the base. 421 Clarence Shepard Day Jr. from the rest home planet, the al-Qaida was considered to be extremely outside. After the first impinging occured with the exotic coalition, her coinage began to spread throughout their solar system with the technology and guidance of their new allies. Some of the aliens were at the base, guiding her kind in their studies. The skinny, green ones resembled Aeris'species. Bipedal with two eyes, oral cavity and nose. The other alien race were large, gooey, tentacled beings with no discernible face. They would communicate telepathically, but still used a unusual `` language '' or `` way of thinking '' that was unmanageable for Aeris'kind to understand. The special K would usually translate and mediate communicating. Aeris was still uncomfortable around them. They would get into her mind to read her near personal intellection and desires. There was no way to intercept it or to protest. At the moon-base, her brain was always being penetrated, even during sleep.

An proclamation was made that youth-recruits from S & D could recieve double pay, a very generous amount of currency, if they were to offer for physical field in the Foreign Biology Studies labs.
