'' No. '' I slid the tray over to him. `` I 'm not really hungry.

'' You okay, Aelita ? '' Jeremie asked, concern filling his voice.

I nodded, resting my head on the board. The surface was cold and made me find slightly better. `` Just a picayune headache. I did n't sleep well last-place dark. ``

'' nightmare again ? '' Odd asked quietly.

I nodded, though it was a lie. I hated lying to my friends, but I did n't desire them to make out I was sick. `` Maybe you should go lay down in the infirmary, '' Jeremie suggested, brushing my pilus out of my aspect. `` You feel really warm, you might have caught something. ``

I shook my headland. `` Just a lilliputian tired is all. Have you seen Ulrich ? ``

'' I think I 'll go pay him a visit. ``

I got up and left the lunchroom, trying to delete Jeremie 's disappointed face from my mind. I made my way over to the bleachers, sitting down on the second row, watching Ulrich until he finally stopped. He grabbed a towel, wiping sweat from his face, and walked over to me, planting a buss on my cheek.

'' Are you okay ? '' he asked almost immediately. `` You feel really affectionate. ``

I shrugged. `` I 'm all right. ``

'' Aelita, you do n't suffer to lie to protect my feelings. '' He lifted my chin so my green eyes matched his grey single. `` Are you okay ? ``

I stared into his eyes. They were so pretty, one of his honest features. `` I 'm very well. ``

Ulrich sighed. `` Alright. Have you eaten breakfast ? ``

I groaned, knowing what he was going to say when I said no. `` I do n't feel like eating. ``

'' Aelita, you need to eat. ``

'' I know ! '' I shot back, a picayune trashy than I intended. I loved being in a relationship, but Ulrich seemed a little clingy sometimes, a little too caring. There was an ungainly moment of silence, and I knew I had upset him. My bureau started hurting again but I refused to let it bear witness. `` I think I 'm gon na go lay down in the hospital for a bit, '' I mumbled, deciding to take Jeremie 's advice.

'' That sounds like a good idea. '' Ulrich helped me to my understructure and wrapped his arm around me, both to proceed me from falling and keep my end to him.

As I got to my foot, the room seemed unleveled, everything tilting. `` hi flooring, '' I mumbled, stumbling slightly.

He led me out of the gym, my small strides trying to observe up with his larger single. `` Ulrich, stop for a moment. '' My heart felt like it was skipping pulse, twitching in my chest. `` I really do n't palpate well. ``

I forced myself out of his arms, sitting on the basis. He knelt in front of me, eye full of worry. `` What do you want me to do ? ``

'' I do n't know. '' I curled up against the pain.

'' I can go get someone. ``

'' No, delight do n't leave ! '' I cried, reaching out and grabbing his arm. veneration filled his eyes.

'' okey, Princess, I wo n't go anywhere. '' He looked around, not letting go of my hand.

'' Aelita ? '' Yumi ran over to us, William following slowly. `` Are you okay ? ``

I wanted to answer, but I felt that I would cry if I did. `` I think she 's sick, '' Ulrich answered. `` Can you go get Jim or the nurse or something ? ``

'' indisputable thing. '' She turned to William and he nodded, running off. I was gladiola that she stayed as well. `` Aelita, do you need to talk about what 's going on ? ``

I smiled weakly. `` Just genetic science catching up to me. ``
